I read this for two reasons. 1) It mentions single moms and I am one. 2) My IRL BFF thought it looked fun and I thought it would be fun to read together. Wolf is a stand up comedian who writes for Chelsea Lately. This book is a collection of stories about his life as a single dad to three kids. 

Things I didn't like: single moms are easy...sleep with as many as possible. Drink as much as possible and get drunk in front of your kid. Take drugs and ridicule those who don't. Want your sons to sleep with as many girls as they can but want to lock up your daughter to keep her away from boys...like yours. The language. I missed the part that said he was a sailor. Great day.

Was it funny? Yeah, in places I laughed. But mostly I rolled my eyes thinking there was no possible way that even a part of what he said could be true. As a stand up act it would be a lot funnier probably but it didn't work for me as a book.

Can you image if this generation had to do something important? What if these kids were the ones who had to storm the beaches of Normandy? Are you picturing these kids out there on those boats? Flippin' their Justin Bieber bangs out their eyes, everybody named Trevor, Travis or Tyler, not knowing how to get to the beach because nobody has a beach app on their phone, and all of them probably getting shot because they posed for a picture in front of the boat to post on Facebook!

I read it in a day because it was like a train wreck...I couldn't look away. He had a few valid points but most of the time I just kept thinking about how far away I stay from men just like him. He's married now and his wife sounds like a saint. 

It was a fast, light read with a few funny parts. I would only recommend this book to someone who doesn't mind extreme and constant language though. If you don't mind that then this might make you laugh.
