It's only 9:30 here but my contacts are done for the day. I was able to finish up Legend by Marie Lu making it three books read during the read-a-thon. That was my goal so I'm quite happy.
Wish I had been able to read for more time but seeing how I didn't decide to join until 3:30 on Saturday, I think I did pretty good!
A big round of applause to Kimberly for putting this on for all of us.
If you participated and you did a wrap up post, share your link in the comments so I can see how you did.

#TakeControlRAT Check in, Again
Today is the last day of the Take Control of Your TBR Pile Read-a-Thon. It also happens to be the first day of spring break for my 6 year old. I envisioned a day of reading while I made the boys play outside but Mother Nature heard of my plans and changed them. It is raining here so no outside play. We will still have a day of reading though. Cole needs to read for school and Ian can look through books.
I finished Barbara Corcoran's Shark Tales and started Legend by Marie Lu.
For those of you still participating, what have you gotten read?

#TakeControlRAT Challenge: Oldest Book in Your TBR Pile
Kimba herself is hosting this challenge which is to find the oldest book you haven't read and to answer the following questions. Link your answers on her page here and let me know you did so that I can visit!
My answer is: {blush}
Tell us why you bought it: I just like her. Not her, um, work, but her. She guest stared on a show I watched and then I saw her do an interview when the book first came out in 2004. She has lived a seriously screwed up life and I thought it would be an interesting read.
Why you haven't read it: It is called How to M*ke L*ve Like a P*rn Star! Not exactly a take-it- to-the-kids'-playdate kind of book, you know?
Read the first chapter, tell us what you think or give a summary. I actually have read part of it. But I can only handle it in small doses. Like I said, she has lived a terribly screwed up life.

Take Control Read-a-thon Update
Yesterday I was able to start and finish Laura Buzo's Love and Other Perishable Items and read about half of Barbara Corcoran's Shark Tales. No reading so far today but I am hoping to be able to finish up Shark Tales tonight.
There is an awesome challenge over at Christy's Love of Books and I was surprised at how quickly I was able to recognize the covers. Yeah, I lust after look at the same covers over and over...no wonder I can quickly identify the book just by looking at a one inch by one inch square. Snicker.
If you are participating and have a check in post of your own, please include it in the comments so I can visit you and cheer you on!
