This week's question is what is your favorite outdoor reading spot?

Since I live in Florida, it is usually too hot for me to sit outside and read. If it isn't hot then everything is covered in pollen. If everything isn't covered in pollen, then it is our 3 minutes of winter time and it is too cold. But if I ever DO try to read outside, I sit on the glider on the front porch so I can watch the kids play. What about you? Do you read outside?

  1. My view of Florida would be to add 'when you're not dodging hurricanes! But maybe I just watch too much news! I'm a new follower. You can find me at: http://gwynnethwhite.blogspot.com/

  2. Great to meet another Floridian! The pollen is horrible. I didn't realize that moving here would mean year-round allergies because everything pretty much stays green through the winter. I'm originally from NY, and at least I got a break in the colder weather, lol.

    New RSS follower.

  11. I am just not an outdoors person. If I do read outside it's in the shade. Other than that, nope. Thanks for visiting my FF.

  12. With two little boys who love playing outside, I have gotten more used to it but like I said...it is hot in Florida! I'd rather by on my couch reading in the AC.

  13. Summers can get pretty hot in Oklahoma (the last couple we had at least a month straight of 100+ degree weather), so you'll usually find me inside on my couch with my pups hogging the AC vents :D Thanks for stopping by my FF. Following you back via Twitter!

  18. Getting to sit outside, listen to your kids play and enjoy a book sounds pretty heavenly! :) But as I used to live in Dallas, I can completely identify with avoiding heat and humidity! ;) I think reading anywhere is pretty spectacular!

Thanks for the follow - I friended you on GR!

  19. That's a good time to catch some good book reading...when kids are playing outside. It sounds fantastic :D And I totally understand about only enjoying the outside during the small breaks when the weather is actually nice! Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven

  22. Oh yes, I love it but sometimes they keep calling "watch this Mommy. Mom, watch me" so often that I end up not reading at all. But that's ok. Book will be around forever and they will one day leave my little nest. Sniff. Have a great weekend, Jaclyn!
