Bout of Books 7.0 Wrap Up Post

Bout of Books

My Bout of Books goals are very simple:

1. Read 4 books
2. Comment daily on blogs that are participating
3. Participate in at least one Twitter party
4. Update this post with my progress each day

Monday: reading Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (106 pages), commend on multiple blogs
Tuesday: finished Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (375 pages total)
Wednesday: reading Undercover Angel by Cynthia Rutledge (107 pages) and will be attending the Twitter chat. Yay! After the chat I'm planning to finish my book.
Thursday: Finished reading Undercover Angel. Started Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn.
Friday: Finished Ella Minnow Pea. Started The Selection by Kiera Cass.
Saturday: Finished The Selection. Made me goal of 4 books read but one was not one I owed so I want to read one more from my shelves. Read The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Began Scarlet by Marissa Mayer. Read 126 pages.
Sunday: continued reading Scarlet. Read to page 225.

Bout of Books 7.0 was a huge success. I passed my goal by a book and a half and that was while I was sick. Had I been feeling better, I could have read more.

Next time I want to bump up my number a couple and attend more Twitter chats. I joined one out of the three scheduled. I'd also like to make more comments on participating blogger's blogs. I started out strong in that and then fizzled since I didn't feel like looking at the laptop.

If you have a wrap up post, link me up so I can visit!

    1. Aww, thanks Amber! I don't accept awards because I don't have time to pass them on properly but it was so sweet of you to think of me! And congrats on your nomination.

    1. Yes, it was great! I have the 3rd and 4th of the series. Will have to borrow the 2nd one so I can continue while the story is still fresh in my mind.

    1. Thanks! I am such a slow reader. Wish I could whip them out like you do, Christina. Ella Minnow Pea grew on me and I ended up really enjoying it. I was a bit nervous about Scarlet because I liked Cinder so very much but I'll loving it just as much!

    1. I was pleased with all the reading. I wasn't wowed by The Selection but it's gotten some love from book bloggers so hopefully you will like it more than I did.

  8. Gah, I wish I'd known about Bout of Books earlier, it sounds like so much fun. I'll have to keep an eye out for the next read-a-thon, I'd love to do one sometime.

But YAY, you read Percy Jackson! That's one of my favorite series. XD

    1. I had never done a week long event like that before. It was a lot of fun. My favorite part was how laid back it was.

Oh yes, I'm a fan. I'm getting #2 very soon!
