My Bookish Birthday Wishlist

Only a couple more days until I will be blowing out the candles for another year. I.am.old. So here's my wishlist of bookish things for my big day. I won't get a single thing on my list but a girl can wish right?

Bookmarks. I am not sure how I misplace bookmarks like I do but dang, I lose them. My favorites are the ones that the library puts out. I try to collect them all.

Bookish money or gift cards. I could spend a ton on books so these are always great. Barnes and Nobles, Amazon or cold hard cash works. The cash usually goes to a bill but...

Shadow and Bone and a pre-order of Siege and Storm. Yes, yes, I've gushed about Shadow and Bone but I don't actually own a copy and I must read it again before I read Siege and Storm.

Allthebooks. My massive Goodreads TBR list? It's crazy, insane out of control. And I just keep adding and adding and adding...any book from there will more than do.

An e-reader. Kindle, Nook, a whatev. I will take anything at this point. I'm currently reading most of my e-galleys on my phone and it's killing my eyes. Have I mentioned that I.am.old?

Trip to BEA. One day I will go. For real.

Vin Diesel. How is Vin Diesel a bookish wish? Because he can READ TO ME, of course. Duh! Naturally, he'll be reading with his shirt off and I'll have to have him read things more than once because I will be so distracted that I won't really understand the book but hey...what a way to read! And that purdy picture up above? My hands down, all time favorite picture of him from any movie he's ever been in. Swoon.

What about you? If you made a bookish wishlist what would be on it?

  1. I really like your list :-) My birthday was in Feb and I told everyone that I just wanted Amazon gift cards. I got $250 in GC and I am almost out but I have bought a lot of books with it :-)
I really want to read Shadow & Bones, I better pick it up soon! Thanks for Sharing and Happy BDay!

    1. Thanks, Chelsea! Happy late birthday but goodness...$250 in GCs? Awesome! Yes, Shadow and Bone is so, so good. Do read it soon and let me know what you think. And thanks for the birthday wishes. ;-)

  2. Happy birthday!

I desperately need an e-reader as well... I read all my e-books on my computer screen, and my eyes aren't very happy about that, either! :p

    1. Thanks for the birthday wishes! ;-) Yes, reading on the computer isn't much better. I've been stalking ereaders on ebay but hate to spend $50 when I can buy one new for $69. Someday soon though I'm getting one!

  3. I desperately want to attend BEA, but that is not realistic at the moment (Dutch poor student :p) Shadow & Bones is awesome, so I can't wait to read Siege and Storm! And e-readers are great. You can always try to find a cheap one, as long as it works right :)

    1. One day I WILL go to BEA. Seems like such a fun (but overwhelming) experience. I would love to meet some of my favorite book blog writers too. That would be the highlight. I've been looking at them on ebay but haven't found one I like that I can afford. What do you have?

  4. A trip to BEA would definitely be on my wishlist! I may or may not have tried to sneak it in as a possible graduation present to my family. It's really the travel cost that gets me! Going to NY from Texas is like 3x more than an actual ticket. But on a more practical note, currently I'd be with you on the bookmarks. I seem to have misplaced ALL of mine, so some post-its have been currently filling in.

    1. A trip to BEA would make me faint. :-) The costs are just too much right now but I will make it happen one day! Glad I am not the only one that can't ever keep track of bookmarks. I'm not even kidding when I say that I pick at least one up every week at the library and STILL can't find one. ;-)

  5. Belated happy birthday. LOL at Vin Diesel reading to you.

I fantasise about the day some fairy will wave their magic wand and give me all the books on my Goodreads wish list :)

    1. Thanks, Trish. I had a really great birthday! Vin could read a cereal box to me if he'd like. Just sayin' ;-)

If that happened, I'd need a library to store them all. I have so many on my list!
